Permanent Makeup Removal in Tel Aviv

Brows too dark? No longer happy with the shape? Or would you like to see your face without permanent makeup again? At Laser House TLV, we’ll help you understand where to start and what to expect.

Where to start and what to expect

  1. Send us a clear photo of your brows and tell us about previous PMU and removal treatments.
  2. We assess the pigment and the condition of your skin.
  3. Together, we discuss the plan, what treatment may feel like and aftercare.

Fading is gradual. Shades can change between sessions, and the exact number of treatments is not always predictable at the start.

Laser House TLV helps people remove or lighten unwanted eyebrow PMU and microblading, with separate assessment for lip and eyeliner pigment. We use Quanta System technology and select wavelengths for your skin, the colours present and how they respond.

How laser removal works

Short laser pulses fragment pigment for gradual clearance by the body’s immune cells. Fading continues between appointments; the immediate appearance is not the final result.

The visible brow colour does not reveal the original pigment mixture. Without reliable product records, we may not know all its components. As dark pigment fades, other shades can become visible, so the plan is reassessed throughout treatment.

Dark eyebrow pigment

A 1064 nm wavelength may be selected to fragment black or dark pigment. It does not create the red pigment described below: existing warm components may become visible as the darker component fades.

Why a red shade between sessions does not necessarily mean something has gone wrong

A warmer shade can be an intermediate stage. Existing red, orange or yellow pigment may become more visible as dark pigment fades. This does not automatically mean treatment has failed. We reassess the remaining colour and skin recovery.

For residual red or orange pigment, 532 nm may be an option, depending on skin tone and pigment response. There is no fixed sequence; some colours remain difficult to remove.

These selected clinic examples show changes across removal stages. Each course and degree of fading can differ.

Redness immediately after a session can also be a skin reaction. This is different from the residual warm pigment assessed at a later appointment.

Initially red pigment

Some brows are already red before removal; they need their own assessment.

When no red stage appears

Other brows lighten without a red stage. If the mixture has no warm component to reveal, that type of colour unmasking will not occur.

Recovery after eyebrow treatment

In our clinic’s experience, brows often settle quickly without crusting or bleeding. Redness, swelling, flaking or crusting can still occur; hair colour can temporarily change.

How many sessions are needed

In our experience, some straightforward eyebrow cases may take around three sessions; others need more. Repeated applications, pigment density and composition, prior removal and individual response affect the course.

If your brows have been repeatedly retouched, removed and tattooed again, we assess both the remaining pigment and the condition of the skin. Significant scarring can make removal more complex, so the course may require more time and additional sessions.

Appointments are commonly spaced around 8 to 12 weeks apart, sometimes longer. Your practitioner sets the interval according to healing and continued fading.

Green or grey brows after layering and camouflage

Repeated PMU applications and camouflage can add different colours over earlier pigment. As components fade at different rates, greenish or grey tones may become more noticeable. Colour alone cannot tell us the original ingredients.

Repeated procedures also expose the skin to more trauma. Scarring or texture changes can make removal more difficult. If scarring damages hair follicles, eyebrow growth may be reduced. This is not inevitable; thinning brows can have other causes and need individual assessment.

Some mixtures contain titanium dioxide, iron oxides, or both. Pigments containing these ingredients can darken after laser exposure, called paradoxical darkening. This differs from unmasking. Further treatment may help, but darkening can persist.

We have a Ruby 694 nm laser for selected blue or green pigment. Its suitability depends on pigment response and skin tone. Layered or camouflage cases can take longer, and complete removal may not be achievable.

Yellow pigment that remains

Yellow pigment can remain as darker components fade and may be slow to respond. In our practice, some residual yellow shades can be lightened. Even picosecond technology does not guarantee full clearance. Depending on the pigment, skin response and healing needs, our specialist may consider 532 nm treatment or, in selected resistant cases, an additional fractional approach. Protect the area from the sun and do not try to fade the pigment by tanning.

What to expect at your first visit

Our experienced team reviews your skin tone, tanning, pigment history, previous removal and your goal, from lightening to fuller removal. Bring pigment records if available. We discuss suitable wavelengths, likely stages, comfort and aftercare. Tell us about medications, allergies or healing problems; some situations need postponement or medical advice.

What treatment feels like

Brief laser pulses can feel like sharp snaps or stings. Sensitivity varies by person and area. Zimmer cold-air cooling, where appropriate, and pauses help manage comfort. Tell your practitioner how it feels.

Lip permanent makeup removal

We remove and lighten lip blush and lip liner with the same care as eyebrows, but lips are always assessed separately: pigment colour, contour, sensitivity and healing.

Why lip colour can change

Pink, red and nude pigments often contain iron oxide or titanium dioxide. After the first session this pigment can temporarily darken to grey or brown. It is a known reaction, so we start with a small test area and only then build the plan.

What to know before you start

If you get cold sores, tell us in advance: you may need preventive treatment before the session. After a session lips can swell and peel for a few days. Sessions need a break between them; we will advise the exact interval at your consultation.

Eyeliner permanent makeup removal

Permanent eyeliner and lash line pigment can be removed or noticeably lightened with laser. It is the most delicate area of the face, so we only work after a personal assessment.

Eye protection

Before treatment, properly fitted metal corneal shields are placed on the eyes by a trained professional. Closed eyes or regular glasses do not protect against the laser. Even with protection, some risk of eye injury remains.

How eyeliner removal works

We check how deep and how close to the lashes the pigment sits, and ask about eye surgery, contact lenses and sensitivity. The pigment fades gradually and several sessions are usually needed. Swelling and redness of the eyelids can last 1–3 days after treatment.

Lashes

The pigment sits right at the lash line, so some lashes may fall out temporarily. We discuss this before we start.

Send us a close-up photo of your eyeliner in daylight and we will tell you whether laser removal suits you.

Recovery and aftercare

Temporary warmth, redness, tenderness or swelling can occur. Recovery differs by area and person. Follow your treatment-specific advice on cleansing, products, sun protection, and resuming makeup, exercise or swimming. Do not pick or rub healing skin.

Contact the clinic promptly if symptoms worsen or you develop blisters or weeping. Spreading redness, increasing pain, discharge or fever needs medical assessment. Eye pain, light sensitivity or a change in vision requires urgent medical assessment.

Mild itching may occur as skin heals and does not necessarily mean an allergy. Allergic reactions to pigment can occur during or after laser removal, even without a previous reaction. Tell us about earlier reactions before treatment. Contact the clinic promptly for persistent or worsening itching, a new rash or increasing swelling; medical assessment may be needed. Breathing difficulty or tongue or throat swelling requires emergency medical help.

Risks to discuss before treatment

Risks include burns, blisters, infection, scarring, skin-texture changes and lighter or darker skin. Some changes can last. Pigment may change colour or remain visible. No laser suits every person or colour.
